Welcome to BizAdvisor - the information portal for business owners and business intermediaries interested in learning more about the process of selling a small to medium size business. My name is Alex Shteriev and I am a Certified Business Intermediary with the International Business Brokers Association and a Business Broker in Toronto, Ontario, working with Sunbelt Business Brokers Morcap. I have been involved in valuations, mergers and acquisition work, investment analysis and marketing of business opportunities for over eight years.

My goal in putting together the site has been to provide as much relevant information about what the major steps of the business selling process entail for small and mid-size companies and business owners. Large corporations when deciding on divesting a business arm, or consider a buy-out, merger or an acquisition, would normally refer to the services of M&A advisors, large accounting firms or investment banks. Some small business owners (i.e. convenience stores, fast food, gas stations, motels) would normally refer to the services of commercial real estate agents for the sale of their business. It is the space in between these types of transactions and services that is generally under-served and the focus of my experience and the site's content.
